HYPOCRISY To Enter Studio In August
July 19, 2003Long-running Swedish metal act HYPOCRISY, led by acclaimed producer/PAIN frontman Peter Tägtgren, will enter the studio on August 1 to begin recording their next album, tentatively titled "The Arrival". "We have no titles yet because we will write while recording, so we have no clue how many songs we will have in the end," Peter wrote on the band's official web site. "The album is scheduled for a January/February 2004 release [through Nuclear Blast Records] but we will most likely play a new song on the upcoming tour."
As previously reported, the follow-up to 2002's "Catch-22" will feature a musical direction described by Tägtgren as a cross between 1996's "Abducted" and 1999's "Hypocrisy".
HYPOCRISY will be teaming up with DIMMU BORGIR, CHILDREN OF BODOM and NEVERMORE for a U.S. tour beginning in November.
